Our Service Men and Women
We would to like to say thank you to our men and women that have served it the Middle East and other countries to keep our country free and safe.
My name is Anthony Parker. I am 30 years old and have been in the military for 8 years. On February 6 2010 my vehicle was struck by a 155 IED round. The explosion destroyed the vehicle killing 3 men inside the truck and rendering me severely disabled. I sustained on that day first, second and third degree burns on 75% of my lower extremities. My right tibia was crushed and replaced with titanium rods with screws. My femur was broken and put back with plates and screws. The alignment is not good on my right side.
Over a process of surgeries and rehabilitation, my movement in my legs have gotten better. But due to the scar tissue build up in my right knee and the compression of the peroneal nerves, I have slowly become drop footed loosing control of my right foot. I have had several knee scopes and debridements. I have had posterior knee debridements well as multiple skin graphs. None of which as really made a difference in mobility.
My friend Mike was almost in tears seeing me hobble around. In turn he said he could help. Just when I thought I would never walk straight and possibly not being able to walk by the time I m 40. I was sized up and presented me with orthotics that are giving me a second chance. I feel relieved and taller. I am now after just a couple of weeks on these, my hips, knees and ankles are now moving the way that they should. I owe my confidence and mobility to Mary, Mike and Pat at Sole Control, Inc.
I am very satisfied and grateful,
Yours truly,
Anthony Parker, USA Serviceman
